How Does It Work?

cash24.lk is a web platform that helps you find loans. Loans up to Rs. 120000 are issued for a period of four months to citizens of Sri Lanka aged 18 or older. The loan amount depends on the terms set by your lender . We cannot guarantee that you will get a loan for the maximum amount with the longest repayment period.

The general requirements to the borrowers are:

  • Legal citizenship in Sri Lanka
  • 18–65 years of age
  • A valid SSS or TIN, and UMID card
  • Any form of income (verified or unverified)

Generally, it takes up to 30 minutes to apply and get a decision. All you need is specify how much you would like to borrow and for how long, fill out a basic form (name, ID, etc.), and send it through our service. We will give you a list of institutions who have a pre-approved loan for you. Next, you choose a loan and read through the terms and conditions. If you decide to accept the terms, the lender will credit the funds to your account or credit card. You can complete your loan application at any time, there are no obligations to commit to anything.

Maximum/Minimum Repayment Periods and Maximum Interest Rate

The loans offered on this website through Fininity Ltd have a minimum repayment period of 120 days (four months) and a maximum of 180 days (six months). Our repayment periods are typically 120 days. Rates vary from 0% to 36%. Interest rates vary from lender to lender. Your situation and credit score will affect the rates offered to you.

Collection Process

cash24.lk does not collect payments. Your lender will contact you by regular mail, email, or phone to outline a repayment schedule. Please contact your lender to determine their collection process, as the terms may vary.

Default

If you cannot pay on time, each lender has their own policies on fees/interest and how they handle debt collection. Some lenders may explore legal options in the event of continued nonpayment. Most lenders will contact you by regular mail, email, or phone to change your payment terms. Failure to pay may result in interest accruals and/or increases and may affect your credit score. Please read through the fees section on the lender’s website before proceding to taking a loan.

Late Payments

If you think you won’t be able to make a payment on time, then it is important to contact your lender beforehand. Your lender may offer to extend or renew your loan. Keep in mind, however, that this will accrue additional interest. Your lender may charge a fee for late payments. The amount is determined by the lender, so please read the loan terms before agreeing. Late payments may also negatively affect your credit score.

Loan Extension Policy

If you wish to renew or extend your current loan, please contact your lender as soon as you can before your payment date. Although some lenders may extend your loan with the same terms as the original loan, each lender has their own extension policy and may charge additional fees or interest. Sometimes, renewals may be processed automatically. Please consider the decision to extend your loan very carefully and seek independent financial advice if necessary.
